Ingredients:
Bittergourd (karela) -4
Oil for frying
Salt to taste
for masala:
Groundnuts - 1/4 cup
Red Chillies - 5
Garam masala -1tsp
Coconut -2tsp (optional)
Fry the above without oil and grind to coarse powder and keep it.
Procedure:
- Stuff the masala powder into the bittergourd.
- In a pan, heat oil and fry the bittergourd. Add salt.
- Cover the pan with a lid and water in that. So that the veg will cook with the help of water drops from the lid.
- In between, keep mixing the curry till its cooked.
- Serve hot with rice.
- Cut the bittergourds into round shape.
- In a pan, heat oil and fry the bittergourd and cook it.
- Add salt, pinch of turmeric powder.
- Once they are cooked, add the masala powder and mix them properly.
- Serve hot with rice.
