Ingredients:
Rice - 1 cup
Toor Dhal -1 cup
Turmeric powder - 1/4tsp
Tamarind - lemon size
Salt to taste
Ghee - 2tblsp
Vegetables:
Carrots -2
Onion - 1
Beans - 7-8
Peas - 1/4 cup
Potato - 1
Capsicum - 1
Raddish - 1
for masala:
Coriander seeds - 1 tblsp
Channadal - 1 tsp
Methi Seeds -1/4 tsp
Cardamom - 1
Clove - 1
Red chilli - 1 or 2
Cinnamon - 1 stick
Grated Coconut -2 tblsp
Hing - a bit
~Fry the above with little oil (except coconut) till golden brown. Grind into paste after it cools.
Seasoning:
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
Chana dal - 1/2 tsp
Groundnuts - 1/4 tsp
Red chillies - 2
curry leaves

Procedure:
- Cook rice and dhal with 3 cups of water.
- Cook the vegetables.
- Add the tamarind water, grounded paste, salt, turmeric powder, cooked vegetables to the rice and dhal and mix well
- Add the seasonings and ghee. Mix well.
- Serve hot.
