Morkuzambu / majiga pulusu / kadi

This is called morekuzambu (tamil) / majiga pulusu (telugu)

Ingredients:


Curd - 2 cups
Salt to taste
Vegetable ( pumpkin / brinjal / ladiesfinger)
coconut oil - 1tsp
turmeric powder - a pinch

for masala:

coconut - 2 tblsp
cumin seeds - 2 tsp
green chillies -2
chana dhal - 1 tblsp

Soak chana dhal in water for 1 hr and grind alongwith coconut, cumin seeds, green chillies into paste.

Procedure:
  • In a pan, heat coconut oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves.
  • When they splutter, add vegetables till they cook.
  • Add the above paste with little water and turmeric powder.
  • Add salt. Lastly add curd and mix well.
  • Serve hot with rice or roti.
