Ingredients:
Roasted Rice Flour - 2 cups
Grated coconut - 1 cup
Water - 4 cups (Twice the measure of rice flour)
Salt to taste
Method:
- Boil 4 cups of water and when it starts boiling remove from fire and salt.
- Add the rice flour slowly with constant stirring so that there are no clumps.
- Take the Idiyappam maker fill it up with the dough and make idiyappams either on the idly plates or idiyappam plates.
- Dress the top of the idiyappam with coconut scrapings.
- Steam the idiyappams in the cooker in medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Serve hot with stew, coconut milk or chutney
