Tomato Chutney

Ingredients:

Ripe tomatoes chopped -4
Red onion chopped -1/2
Red chillies -3-4
Ural dal -1 tbsp
Pepper corns -3
Cumin seeds -1 tsp
Mustard seeds -1tsp
Garlic clove - 1 (optional)
Grated coconut - 1 tbsp(optional but gives nice flavor)
Tamarind paste - 2tbsp

Method:
Heat a pan and dry roast Ingredients 3-8 and set aside.
Heat 2 tsp oil saute onions for couple of minutes, add the the tomatoes and tamarind.
Cook the tomatoes till raw smell goes, add turmeric& salt.let it cool.
In a mixie, make a powder of dry ingredients. then add the cooked tomatoes, coconut powder and make a smooth paste.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serve with Dosas / Idlies.
